Carlist's Tower
The tower or fusilier fort was built at the entrance to Castelló near the river in the second half of the 19th century by the “Regimiento de Toledo” in order to strengthen the village’s defense fortifications against the Carlists. It is a round slanted tower with embrasures and battlements.

In November of 1874 a bloody battle took place known as “el Foc de Castelló” (the Fire of Castelló) in which general Savalls of the Carlists had the upper hand. It is famous as half of the population was destroyed or burned.
