The cuisine from our region is based on a Mediterranean diet, considered one of the best in the world,   and is therefore very rich and varied. Our municipality has a large variety of restaurants and bars providing a rich culture and culinary variety to satisfy the diverse cultures of our clientele.

The annual culinary campaigns held each year are a particular highlight, such as those dedicated to Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Cuisine, Mediaeval cuisine, and the housewives and women’s organizations from the municipality, who offer us a wide range of recipes prepared using traditional methods.

Duck cortal (corral), foie gras, regional vegetables, and fish from the bay are the main ingredients used in our cuisine. Sweets and desserts, such as stuffed apples, bruels, aiguamoixos, minstrel’s treats and Castelló roc, also play an important role.
